A Passion for the Energy of Things
We are energy. The chair we sit on is energy.
Our actions are energy. Our thoughts are energy.
Everything is energy. Everything is in motion. Everything is expanding.
The Elements
The energy of the elements exist all around and in our life. They are the layers of the lived experiences and how we operate within ourselves and in the world. The Tarot uses them to help us identify and work with them.
The Major Arcana
The Major Arcana show us what energies might be moving through our life right now, what is available to us in this moment, whether we see them or not. They are not problems to solve or something to fear, they are currents to understand and work with as feels right for our own unique journey.
The Minor Arcana
The Minor Arcana help us consider what energies are within our control through inner work and in our day-to-day life. Looking at how we are showing up, where we are reacting, responding, opening, or closing and asking gently to consider a new story as we become aware of current stories that are no longer true.
The Choosing / Releasing Energies
Choosing Energy: The energy of what we choose to focus our energy on. Whether that is choosing to release, share, envision, discern, make a decision, and or take an action. In the Tarot these energies are represented by Fire and Air (the Wands and Swords).
Releasing Energy: The energy of releasing what no longer serves us. Whether that is releasing through surrender, acceptance, trust, flow, and or rejuvenation. In the Tarot these energies are represented by Water and Earth (the Cups and Pentacles).
We need both energies active and alive in us to be balanced and at our best!
The Outer World
The dimensions of our life in our outer world. Our thoughts, our beliefs, and our lived, embodied experience on Earth. The physical world we live in. We can call this the seen world, external or outer world, or our created world. In the Tarot this world is represented by Earth and Air (Pentacles and Swords)- notice this is one releasing energy and one choosing energy.
The Inner World
The dimensions of our life in our inner world. Our will, our soul, connection to Spirit, our vision, our deepest knowing, our capacity for unconditional love. We can call this the unseen world, the internal or inner world, or our creating world. In the Tarot this world is represented by Water and Fire (Cups and Wands)- notice this is one releasing energy and one choosing energy.
“As above, so below” is an ancient phrase that means as in our inner world, so in our experience of the outer world.
